Portland defined…. Running and Beer: Hashing.
Portland is a running city. Portland is also a beer city, with more breweries than any other city in the world; our obsession is no secret. Many events proudly showcase said obsession. The Shamrock Run, Bridges to Brews, Pints to Pasta – all of these races include consumption of our hop-filled mistress.
However, nothing I have ever seen can compare to Hashing. Warning, these peeps are not for for the faint of heart, they are hardcore and dirty. If you can get past this minor detail – prepare for the time of your life. Idea: “Hare & Hounds” gather at a watering hole. Hare takes off into the urban night, leaving a faint trail behind for the hounds to follow – chase ensues, hare is caught at another watering hole. Are you hooked yet? Wednesdays at 6:30, hares off at 7:00 – Cost: $5.00 “Hash Cash”.
