Montage Milestones….
There are a lot of things in life that should spark that “welcome to the real world” feeling.
College, career, marriage, kids, buying our first home – not getting carded at the grocery store. Nope. Not for me, through these milestones I maintained my illusion of youth.
A few weeks ago I took my children to my personal Portland staple; Le Montage Bistro for lunch, they chatted with table-mates and giggled at the sight of their leftovers packaged up as an artful foil swan.
It was then. In that very moment. I pictured myself doing the exact same thing years ago after a night out with my girlfriends – makeup skewed and voices gone at 1 am. I looked at my watch 1pm – I was really a grown up, just the thought of 1 am was exhausting.
